So the question, other than what to get for lunch, is do waifu lives matter? This seem to be the case! Was talking to the guy with the sign when I noticed the common cosplay sight at the convention entrance line: a waifu is trash costume. So how did others respond?

Apparently, they're part of a recent fashion line to support your waifu!
