Angela C. didn't plan to become a nurse. But after taking a service year to work with children in an orphanage, she was inspired to go to nursing school.
Today, Angela's still helping kids in need. Her floor at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh primarily serves pediatric oncology patients.
"A nurse needs to have a lot of skills, but most importantly, they need to be present," Angela says. "We really get to build bonds and relationships with the patients and families, and that's beautiful."
