Although Johann Sebastian Bach died in 1750, the corporations which now profit from his music have decided that you must first watch an advertisement before you can hear it. I, being obstinate, would prefer that you watch in silent resentment, stewing on the absurdity of copyright laws instead. This is music that we have all heard and enjoyed; the creator long since passed. Ironically, nobody seems to have a problem with the fact that producers of original content, such as myself, provide their ideas free of charge, while third party corporations fight over the potentially profit-producing "rights" to such original material. Reject advertising, or else continue to slide into that intellectually complacent and insultingly dreary slump that we happily label as the state of consumerism. "Chump" would be a more appropriate descriptive.
