In this Real People. Real Stories. video, Aneela Idnani shares her personal experience with body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) and the journey toward understanding, support, and hope.
Body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) include behaviors such as hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking (excoriation disorder), and other repetitive self-grooming behaviors that can cause significant emotional distress and impact daily life. Through her story, Aneela helps bring greater awareness to BFRBs and the importance of reducing shame, finding community, and accessing evidence-based information and support.
