I wanted to make a THPS video with separate parts similar to pros in real skate videos, so it could end up being solid entertainment for 30-40 minutes.
I never finished it because once I had a solid foundation, I found out that there was a seemingly arbitrary limit with how many regions you could create in one project with Windows Movie Maker. Once It started getting too big, it would eventually run extremely slow and inevitably crash, so I back-burnered the whole thing.
I had rendered out each portion over several iterations to share with friends, so that's what we're looking at here.
At the beginning, there's a Super Double Dragon clip which was one of my favorite games growing up. I had a folder full of gameplay clips I'd taken from playing other games that I really wanted to work into the edit to try and branch out from traditional THPS vids and try to get more people outside the THPS community watching (SF Rush, Street Fighter, Counterstrike, Megaman X, Contra 3), but after all of the crashing/editing woes, I stopped pursuing the project altogether and it never came around.
So here we are almost 20 years later, editing these 5 parts together and putting a bow on it and calling it "done." :)
I was really happy with how Multiplayer Mayhem, Run, Skep, Run, and Yeah, Right! all came out. The moment with orbital is cool too, but the manual around LA doesn't really hold up today, and probably should have been cut.
In hindsight, these all could be their own separate video aside from the Intro. The Intro can't really stand on its own, but it was meant to have a Style Line and/or a No Manual line to offer more high-intensity parts kind of like Projekt 1 did.
