In Chapter 15 of 23 in his 2014 Capture Your Flag interview, environmental advocate Andrew Hutson answers "How Has Working in South America Been Different Than Working in China?" After five years working across Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing in China, Hutson transitions to Latin America to work on projects in Brazil. He shares how physical demands from jet lag traveling from the U.S. to South America is less taxing than going to and from China, where jet lags are much more serious. Having lived in Central America and worked in Mexico helps him transition back into Latin America culture and begin to work on Portugues language skills in Brazil. Andrew Hutson is an environmental advocate at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), where he is currently Director, Value Chain Initiatives. Hutson earned a PhD in Public Policy from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Masters in Environment Management (MEM) from Duke University and a BA in International Relations from Michigan State University.
