When Agamemnon returned from the war with his concubine Cassandra Clytemnestra was officially done She drew a bath for her husband and after covering him in a robe either she or her lover stabbed him to death. Clytemnestra beheaded her husband for good measure killed Cassandra and then along with Aegisthus claimed rule of the kingdom
