Laurelei takes a look at ancestral healing and how Traditional Witches might use techniques rooted European Shamanism to work through issues of generational trauma. These ideas are framed in the context of both societal wounds and personal / interpersonal pain -- all of which can be addressed (at least in part) with ancestral healing work.
Please note: I'm very intentionally NOT sharing techniques from Afro-Disaporic, Indigenous/First Peoples, or other shamanic/religious Traditions found in the US. While these important Peoples have contributed monumentally to what it means to be an American -- and certainly what it means to be an American Witch -- I stand by my commitment not to teach what I haven't been trained or initiated into. I strive to learn the wisdom my own Indigenous and African Ancestors have to share with me, take up the study they place in my path, and seek out the teachers and training I need -- without the desire to "own" or "sell" that wisdom in some way.
