Anaerobic respiration is the response from the body when there is no oxygen and it cannot respire aerobically. In anaerobic respiration, glucose is broken up without oxygen and converted into lactic acid and energy. This video also looks at the concept of oxygen debt and how plants and microorganisms can also respire anaerobically.
