One of the worst things I have ever seen. This yacht until the 1990s was entirely original with a hand-stoked Almy water tube boiler. After being sunk and salvaged due to neglect, it received a computer controlled and electrically operated oil burning boiler and fly-by-wire operated steam valves, in an effort to automate the plant almost entirely. Nevermind when the man with the electronic boat throttle in the wheelhouse opens the throttle with nobody downstairs to open the engine's cylinder cocks.... This is a prime example of how NOT to do something, and is also extremely dangerous when out on the water.
Any marine architect or engineer who signs off on something like this is not worth his credentials.
