"In 2017 I went to Australia and attended a music mission school there. While I was there I decided to start the AUE project with a collection of songs based on the three major Greek words for Love; Phileo, Eros, and Agape. Eros is the aspect of love we know as pertaining to passionate or sensual love. It’s where we get the word erotic from - a desire for intimacy. From that viewpoint I wrote the song as a modern day take on the Song of Solomon, which is found in the Bible and is the story of two lovers and their relationship. However I decided to broaden the meaning a bit. If you’ll notice each verse in the song mentions a different part of the world, for example, in verse one, New York Times and Central Park refer to North America. Verse two, Swiss Alps, Zurich Town refer to Europe, and in verse three, Rising Sun, Cherry Blossom, refer to Asia. In essence, a love song written to all people and nations of the world."
