You can't see a truly invisible object, but you should be able to feel it in a natural setting. It would have to be a man-made physical object no matter how visually invisible it became.

With a hologram, you can definitely see it, but it has no physical properties. It's pure light!

What if the invisible were made unphysical and holograms given physical properties?

It would make a portal completely visually and physically disappear from our reality while giving a physical reality to its holographic holodeck virtual reality interior!

You could be walking thru a completely invisible portal on an afternoon stroll and not even know it!
