This video provides an overview of the FHWA Hydraulic Toolbox, a suite of calculators for hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design. This free software program was developed to make the job easier for designers and specialists who have the responsibility to evaluate and find solutions for water related problems, including: channel analysis and erosion protection, weir design, curb and gutter analysis, grated inlet design, rational method hydrologic analysis, detention basin analysis, riprap design, bed material gradation analysis, digital photo gradation analysis, and bridge scour analysis. For additional information, please view the Hydraulic Toolbox Desktop Reference Guide: fhwa.dot.gov/engineering/hydraulics/software/toolbox404.cfm and the National Highway Institute’s free, on-demand web-based training: nhi.fhwa.dot.gov/course-search?tab=0&key=135067&sf=0&course_no=135093 . The latest version of the Hydraulic Toolbox may be downloaded from the FHWA Hydraulics Software Page: fhwa.dot.gov/engineering/hydraulics/software.cfm .
