The Master of Peace and Conflict Studies program has proved to be one of the most diverse graduate programs at the University of Waterloo. It welcomes students from different walks of life, with diversity in knowledge, education background, cultural background, gender, age, sexuality, religion, and so forth. The program truly lives out its slogan of peace being everybody’s business. When you study MPACS, one of the unique experiences is the knowledges you gain from your classmates. Indeed, you will learn more from your classmates than your professors. However, PACS professors create and facilitate that co-learning and co-unlearning experience for students.
Please meet Noman Sajjad, current MPACS student sharing about his experience as an international student from Pakistan. Noman shares further about the importance of learning in a diverse environment and the skills that have emerged from that experience and how such unique conflict transformation and peace building skills and perspectives would elevate him to the next level of his career.
