On Sunday July 10th, that's a week and a half from now, my wife shall be running in the Race For Life at Heaton Park in Manchester to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of two work colleagues who recently died of cancer
Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK and Since 1994, women of all ages and fitness levels across the UK have come together at these inspiring events to walk, jog or run to help beat cancer.
Some women take part in celebration of surviving a cancer experience. Others take part in memory of a loved one or to give hope to a cancer-free future. But all of them share a common goal: to raise money for Cancer Research UK's ground-breaking work and to help save more lives.
Since Race for Life began an incredible 5.4 million participants across the UK raised over £362 million to fund the work of over 4,000 researchers, doctors and nurses dedicated to helping more people beat cancer.
As this is a women only event I am ineligible to take part however this does not mean that I cannot do my bit to help.
Presently I have just short of two and a half subscribers here on youtube and it occurs to me that I could do some good with that and if just a small proportion of those subscribers gave just a couple of pounds towards sponsoring my wife in her endeavour then it would go a long way towards her hitting her fundraising target.
Of course the more people chip in the better although you are of course under no obligation to do so and I will think no less of you if you don't
