I wasn't intending to join any ICs this year, but I found a perfect song for MDZS when I skimmed the song pack soo -shrug-. I've been dying to finish a full video with this series (and with Wei especially), so I'm so excited to finally do so.. I've started a few videos but never managed to motivate myself to finish (or be satisfied lol).
So this forced me to finish something, finallyyy.
I've been in a MXTX hole these past few months and I love this character (Wei Wuxian) a lot..
Also I integrated HOB scenes into this because it was kinda fun to think of. Imagining Xie Lian, Fu Yao and Nan Yang fighting Wei's ghouls in the mountains is an amusing thought. Wei is so wronged throughout MDZS and this video increases that exponentially.. ouch.
It was fun trying out fx to fit a "horror" vibe more. I'm definitely going to experiment with more FX in the future too. -determination-

Ive had tons to adapt to these past two months and I didnt have yt at all. Im currently paying for it right now in fact. (Only a small fee though, deff worth it).
Anyway, about the MMV.. some of you may have seen the beta in my preview pack. I actually started this back in June/July, so Im kinda proud I actually got up and finished it (I can never motivate myself for long projects..)..probably because recently I found myself in a situation similiar to Ninako. I found myself being more motivated to complete this as a result, out of all my other projects. Im sure weve all been there at least once - liking someone and being unable to forget or get them off your mind. In this MMV Ninako is initially uncertain about falling in love with Ren, and she eventually realises how falling in love with him is ok - it isnt safe, she;s emotionally vulnerable (her walls are breaking down) but its alright for her, because Ren loves her back.

Chrissy because she introduced me to this manga, and I love it to pieces - really. She was also a huge inspiration to me while making this - I kept watching her MMVs for motivation xD ilu chrissy

A couple of weekends ago I had a ton of inspiration to edit Fiction by Echos with Scum Villain fanart. The song happened to be in the IC pack for an IC back then, and you bet I tried to finish it that weekend -tried and died doing it- I got to about 50 seconds and I clocked/burned out. Since then I havent been inspired/been burned out so I completed the last few seconds in vegas.. so here is the result.
I gained a lot of animating/AE fx and workflow experience while making this video, even though I didnt manage to end it the way I wanted, Im still happy I got this far..
STORY/VIDEO PREMISE:
Its probably confusing for those who havent read the novel, basically I went with the main character (Luo Binghe) going through the lows, highs and heartbreaking memories up until the moment Shen Qingqiu (the other character) falls into a coma. The beginning quote is the present, and then it goes back to the past. The last few scenes are in the present.
Im so happy I managed to edit a full Scum Villain MMV/fanart video, and hopefully Ill do it again someday ;_; . The novel needs more love.

Im going to experiment and upload danmei edits here from now on. I want to dedicate a channel to the genre so I can properly promote the novels and fanart sources I edit, because they deserve it. Im also going to be editing 2HA eventually as well as more MXTX. The videos might end up being terrible because Ill be trying new things.. but well see I guess. T_T

This video was made for Project Org R2 under the theme of pursuit. I loved this theme so much! I had a lot of fun editing it. Also so happy I finally edited a full Code Geass AMV - something I would never have done otherwise, to be honest..
Funnily enough I was thinking of Les Mis while editing this as well. Javert being in pursuit of Jean Valjean, until his death. XD Yeah, thematically thats the vibe I was going for with this. 8D

So me and Amy (Kaeldri) spent halloween editing for the Aeon Speedproof IC. Pretty much the only songs that inspired us were depressing and dramatic. Yeeep sounds like our editing - hey what better way to celebrate Halloween than with a video about two characters going crazy :D We chose the Aeon Special Category which required use of 90s anime.

Basically I wanted to revolve around the theme of trying to escape from a fate thats irreversible.. Im not sure I achieved thatxD
Anyway this was a breath of fresh air ~ I wanted to do a raw amv for once, but now I want to go back to effects ;-; Im so indecisive xDD I hate how I have to rush things before a deadline and get lazy ;-; xD
