Recognize the opening clip? You should. I figured it was only appropriate to be my opening shot too :D
Ahh, the recently famous M292. This truck has an amazing sound when he gets on it a bit. And according to the driver, its the best truck in the entire fleet! But I wouldnt expect anything less, it IS a Peterbilt after all ;) I just wish the belt wasnt squeaking, it really takes away from the audio because my camera picks up the high pitched sounds much better than the low growls. :(
You'll notice a shot where the camera thought it would be cute to focus on a f**cking water droplet that got on the camera lens.. not a clue how that happened either. I decided to climb up a wall right next to the truck for a hectic, close-up action shot that you dont get to see too often.. and what do you know? A damn water droplet that came outta nowhere ruins the whole shot.. I left it in the video for the sake of the audio and you get the basic idea of what happened thru the shot, but with no detail whatsoever.
You'll also notice the arms on this truck are not Amreps. They are off of something else and for whatever the reason, EDCO put them on here. I would have to assume the original ones were damaged beyond repair somewhere through this trucks 20 year life.
Huge thanks to the amazing driver! Its not too often you get a driver who stops and waves you past him so you can set up for a good shot before he drives up to the dumpsters. He even picked up an empty dumpster just for the sake of the video (4:25). To the driver, if your watching this, I cant thank you enough for being so nice to us while we were around.
