Was shorter and easier than I thought. Apparently made in AMOS, I'm not surprised. For an AMOS game, it's not TOO bad.
Weird they mix French and English, but not too uncommon in games, I've noticed.
I usually record the whole title music, but not this time as I didn't care for it.
And as always in my longplays, I don't care about collecting all the things for extra score either :), so skipped some stuff.
10:51 - Took a couple of minutes before I figured out what to do. I have to get all the keys (well, at least get all the keys on the first side and then get over to the other side) during the common 'invulnerable-at-the-start-of-a-level' thingy. Also learned here I could RUN by holding down the fire button.
11:41 - On this level I once again need to use run. Can be beat it without run too, but you need to be able to lose some lives then.
12:30 - "You have completed all levels of this version"

Have had this music pop into my brain every now and then for some time now, even though Ive not played it in years :P, so thought it was time to play it.
I only remember level one and thought that was gonna be all. Guess Ive never played through it before, because it had several more levels to my surprise.
Level 1 (section, but prefer level) is pretty straight forward. Level 2 was much harder as the hit-boxes are crazy wrong. Died so many times on level 2, same on 3 and 4. On level 5 tho I wondered what purpose my gun has as it doesnt seem to hit or kill anything (same with the grenades), but what the firing does is make the birds fly upwards, so I can go below them. Messed up hit-boxes here as well (especially the enemy grenades when they explode). Then the rest ones were just run and shoot, ez. Could only go through the doors after they were opened (probably by the enemies).")

Yes, Diablo 1 (aka DevilutionX) on Amiga :). I wanted something special for longplay 300.
I played it when it was new on my pretty good (then) PC, but dont remember if I ever finished it. And havent played it since. So playing through it, for maybe the first time, ON AN AMIGA, was nice :)
I made a goal to do all quests I could find, explore all maps and kill all enemies 100%, which I did, except on the last one with Diablo, I left a few enemies there, but only those that were with him before he went for me. I dont like talking in games, and if I didnt record this, I would just not talk to the people in town if not needed. But to get more info and stuff into the video, I chatted to a bunch to learn more about the lore/quests/etc (but not all, couldnt be bothered to include every possible dialogue). And because of all these things, its a pretty lengthy movie (although Google says average playtime to complete game is 14 hours). Might have been a 3 hour run or so if I just skipped all the unnecessary stuff, especially entering the next level the moment I found it, instead of clearing the whole map first. And of course, I didnt do the Mana Shield exploit, so avoided getting the spell, and also no duping, no reloading the game to get better items from Adria.
I watched a bit of some Diablo YouTube videos and stuff so I wouldnt be completely noob. I noticed in the comments of some videos they complained the player never used the quick-keys to select spells and stuff, which was apparently annoying to watch as they did things so slow because of it. So, I made sure I did, of course... which I would have anyway even if I hadnt seen those videos :)
Rant:
Was a bitch to record for many reasons, a couple being WinUAEs frame rate with RTG games, which in the version I used (no version I tried had a solid 60 btw, all jumping around just below 60) jumped between 59.1-59.3. I couldnt get it to do a solid 60 no matter emulator settings or OS settings, also asked an expert and he too couldnt do it and said its just how WinUAE handles RTG, can be a bit finicky. So, the scrolling isnt perfectly smooth as it skips a frame every 1 seconds. While the game itself runs at 20fps, its of course still noticeable when I walk around and it scrolls. But ~99% of people probably dont care or even notice these things, but I do and its annoying to not be able to get it perfect. No, didnt wanna make a 59fps video.
The other thing was I wanted to record using WinUAEs built-in recorder (for many reasons), and thanks to the varying frame rate, most .avi files got sound delay (the usual - the longer the file is, the more desynced it is at the end of the file). Ive fixed as much of it as I could.
Those were the two main problems, there were many more, like me using save-states, but as few as possible because it too made problems/complications because of how WinUAE works, and also the game itself. I had to replay the game 3 times, both first times I got to half the game. And I noticed things started auto-duping because the game apparently auto-saves the town info when I enter a dungeon, which made the stuff in town stick, so if I loaded a save-state from way earlier when there was nothing in town, or way later, those items appeared in the town again lol. They were removed by the game when picked up tho as it said dupe detected, so a few times when this shit happened, I had to go back to town, pick all items up that shouldnt be there at that point in time, and put down other things that SHOULD be there, and in the same spots as been recorded earlier so the video clips would be seamless, so much work. Didnt want people to think I duped/cheated.
Anyway, there were way more problem, but enough is enough.
Too bad I didnt get The Butcher quest. I had it on my first two runs tho (as mentioned earlier). My first two runs went way better. Had better gear by the same time in my third and last run

This is the third and final game in the Once Upon a Time series. The other two previous ones were Baba Yaga and Abracadabra. Might be more, but I couldnt find any other ones.
I wrote a bunch for the other two, but cant be bothered again for this one. All three are quite similar, especially the first two, but this one differs a bit from the other ones. If you watch the other two and read their video descriptions, and then watch this video (before or after), youll see whats different... I guess :) *yawn*.... 2 AM...

So, its a game where you control your dinosaurs and the enemy (or 2nd player) control theirs. The aim is to get your stolen egg back from their side to yours. The different dinosaurs have strengths and weaknesses depending on what type of dinosaur they fight against. So its good to know which dino to use against another type of dino, it could make it easy to beat or very hard (or even impossible I noticed when I practiced once, I couldnt land a hit, forgot who I and they were now). Good thing theres a practice mode.
While moving on the board, the players take turns (default option), but theres an option to make it realtime, so one gotta think and move fast as the computer will just go for it.
After I completed one of the boards, I didnt feel like completing the rest of the boards, as its just the same thing all over again, but with different board-looks and backgrounds when fighting (and sounds too).
I selected music for the fights, as sound effects got repetitive and annoying really fast. Later after beating the computer, I show a bit of the other boards and switched to sound effects so we get to hear some of those too.
After showing the other boards I did two practice fights in the BATTLE thingy to show some of that stuff as well, and picked two dinosaurs I think we didnt get to see in action earlier, or not much anyway.
And finally, the nice encyclopaedia.
BTW, theres a black line at the bottom of the video, its because the encyclopaedia is 1 pixel taller than everything else in the game.")

Crazy hard, or I just suck. Cant fail too many times or you cant play the next level/stage/part/whatever. And if you fail 8 times (cuts), its game over. So while not getting too many cuts or lose too much health AND are fast enough so the timer doesnt run out, youll make it to the next level/stage/part/whatever. Fail and you have to restart from the beginning of the current level.
Only found one playthrough/longplay of this game, but he didnt include the last level for some reason (edit: found the reason, I think, putting it in the last paragraph), and yet he got the great job !/the end parts. Without the manual I would have no idea how to finish the last level. I kept dying to the rocket as I couldnt outrun it, so looked in the manual and it said I had to press fire to jump out of the flying thingy. After that I kept failing the landing, became game over so many times. Again, checked the manual and apparently I had to press up + fire (or whatever it was) at the right moment to land properly, I never managed to do it, kept failing... but what worked was just spamming fire and all directions randomly like crazy.
According to Hall of Light (http://hol.abime.net/263) this game only contains two of the three levels of the C64 version. But the version I longplayed has all three. So maybe the player I mentioned earlier used an older version. I cant find any info about a newer or different Amiga versions. Seems to be only one, or the different disks in the Tosec are not properly labeled. Anyway, HoL should update their info. Even the manual mentions all three levels in both C64 and Amiga version.")

You guessed it, you’re playing Michael Fairbanks and it’s your duty, nay privilege, to unravel the mystery of the Mayas.
So, you buy/sell/trade to get that you need, and if it wasnt for a walkthrough, I would have no idea what to do in some of the parts of this game, as some stuff didnt make sense to me, or a couple of others Ive read reviews from. Some of the stuff you find try to give clues for what to do, but they can still be way too vague and cryptic that probably most people still wouldnt understand what to do. But... Im not a bright person anyway, so maybe its just me :P
You can die in several ways, and usually a picture of what happened is shown. Like driving off a bridge shows a picture of you doing just that. But most deaths seem to just show the one I added to the end of the video (the best one imo), which is why I just picked that one, as I couldnt be bothered to collect all of them. The text at the bottom of the death picture got messed up as I forgot to apply the correct settings/resolution. Its supposed to be pixelated, but not like that.
Not too bad for a game released in 1989. It kinda reminds me of Colorado, which is not strange as both games are by Silmarils.")

This game was on the Wrong Way Back CD32 CD, and was just an .exe file labeled deep.exe (with its deep.abk, so yes, AMOS). I longplayed both exactly 1 year ago, but didnt upload them until now. Kinda didnt feel like longplaying this one as its so small, no proper title, maybe not even finished, but thought fuck it, might as well. Couldnt find any info about it anywhere. Did think about sending a message to the dude who made the CD/main game, but never bothered.
When starting it I was met with a boot screen that required a password, so I read inside the executable and found some words and tried them out. Typing sleepsickness or even sleep sickness (as both are included and accepted) displays that the access code is dallosreport, but typing dallosreport (nope, not dallasreport) just throws password error. Another couple of words I found in the executable was the maze, and THAT seems to be the code to enter the game. So dont know why they accept other different things that are just nonsense stuff.
Ive not heard Dallos before so googled it just out of interest, seems theres an anime TV series named that about space.
Maybe the intended title for the game might be Dallos Report, dunno.
The text is parsed slowly on the boot screen, as its the speed it shows the letters after typing them, no matter how fast I typed.")
