Was gonna record a bunch of Bomb Jack games in a row, but meh, this one sucked so hard, and so did some of the others I tried. Stupid controls etc, so I just did this one.
Some of the others after this one would have been: "Bomb Jack Beer Edition", "Bomb Jacky", "Bomber Jack", "Mighty BombJack".
During round 5 I noticed I couldn't reach all the bombs, so learned I could actually jump much higher by holding up. Could have been useful on the 4 previous levels, but they were easy enough anyway.
The levels repeat after round 15, so stopped the longplay on round 16. However, the "round" number goes up to 30, but then resets back to 1 on the next level.

This is one of the hardest Amiga games Ive played. Sooooooo crazy difficult. I lost count of how many times I died. This game was such a chore to get through, even when using savestates. Theres one million ways to die.
Still tho, despite the difficulty, its a pretty good game. It looks pretty good and the music is great.
The ? on the main menu is a sneak preview of the next Kinetica/U.S. Gold monster game! (quoted from the manual)
I included just one of the deaths (as its my fav), instead of spending a lot of time trying to find all of them. Its included at the end of the video - followed by the game over screen.

Pretty impressive as it runs perfect even on an Amiga 500 with 1MB RAM.

This mas much harder than I expected. The controls suck, and so does the collision detection with the walls/ground. I longplayed this 9 years ago and it was time to redo the longplay as I did things that was not up to my todays standard.
Due to bad collision detection, I can get past the big box in the beginning if I wanted to. I could fall through floors in many different locations, which could be useful for speedrunning. Jumping from one platform to the next was extra hard in certain places, like 13:19, failed so many times to get to the other side, same with some of the next jumps. Some seem to be less wide than others, didnt check, but feels like that, as some jumps required me to jump off the very last pixel of the edge, while others didnt. Could land on the other side and STILL fall through the floor due to bad collision detection. Need both legs on the ground to not fall, or something.......
02:54 - Lots of stuff dropping, but cant touch them or I fall.
10:19 - Look at that shitty spawn. Enemy spawned too close so I lose health before I can move. Its random. Lazy coding to not make the enemy spawn at random but within a certain area.
11:03 - I found jumping to catch these cranes were really hard. So easy to miss. They dont all seem the same. Some need to be jumped to at the exact moment... like, need to jump within 0.3 sec or something, too early or late and I miss, even if I stand as close to the edge as possible. Others I have a much bigger area/window to succeed, dont need to be by the edge, and dont need to jump exactly at a specific moment (sure, you cant wait TOO long when its close to you before it turns back, but still - some are not as picky as others). I died many many times on these.
16:28 - At the second shooting range, instead of killing the villains, I decided to kill only the good ones :)... just cuz I could... I never care about score in games anyway. But, they spawn too slowly so after a while I just use up my bullets on nothing so I could get to the next level quicker.
20:15 - Walking left here to show the message. Could also when jumping down, hug the left wall as I fall and fall through it, and get to the bottom floor. Didnt try to see if when walking to the right once down there if it would trigger the end without having the robot (Cain) there as well. Its all these edges that you can pass through if you want. When I jump down, I show I cant kill the robot. No amount of bullets will kill him. Your weapon is only used to destroy his rockets.

Looked through my PD tosec and sorted on games with most disks, this game won. Its on 10 disks. Took a quick look and didnt know what to do, but could see a lot of effort had been put into it so wanted to longplay it. After a bit I realized it would take a while to longplay if I had to figure everything out by myself. So, looked for a walkthrough, found nothing. No guides, hints, tips, nada. Seems like a very uncommon game (first time Ive seen it), which is common for PD. Only thing I could find was a 2 minute short video on YouTube that ended in an error message and then guru mediation after the intro. I too had a crash the first time I ran it, but if installed correctly and enough memory, it run properly.
So, I decided to contact the developer, didnt expect him to reply as its an old game and the site looks very outdated, but he replied. We have for a few weeks, whenever we have time, traded messages back and forth discussing the game and how to finish it. Its been like xx years since he last even looked at the game so he didnt remember everything. I asked if he could write down a walkthrough, or as much as he remembered. He recorded a video and it had almost everything that was needed to get through the game. He sometimes used landscape mode tho when traveling so I had to email him a few extra times asking directions as I didnt know where he went. So its been back and forth trying to solve the mystery of how to properly beat this game :). He said the game is easy to play, but hard to beat, and I totally agree.
Theres no need to sleep/camp as often as I do, but did it to show the different dreams. Some even contains clues. Yes, some are also included in the outro.
Should have made a map from day one. I did it later and it really helped. Im not too fond of how walking around works, it was kinda confusing to me. Not enough text space here to get into the details. Only real complaint I have is the text parser. Cant type capital letters or punctuation marks (, . ?...) so had to type broken English. Asking questions without using a question mark, etc.

Time Warrior originated with the story ‘Axe: A Tale of Carthelion’ nearly 4 decades ago. I was in North Africa and to pass my spare time I had taken several award-winning books to read. As it turned out they were the wrong books thus I picked up a pencil and started writing.
Back in Britain the novel was supplemented with an album and an adventure game of the same name for the ZX Spectrum. As the game was supported by a major company it did well making No3 in the adventure charts. Putting a book into print in the 80s was a nightmare but nevertheless it came to pass.
Following ‘Axe’ I wrote ‘Shades of Evil’, again with an accompanying. Album. The book and Album were tightly entwined. ‘Axe’ and ‘Shades’ came together in the Amiga adventure game ‘Time Warrior’. A text only version known as ‘Dark Staff’ was available on the Spectrum. To really understand how the stories and ‘Time Warrior ‘ knit together you need to visit http://www.shadesofevil.com. The book ‘pdf’ of ‘Many Shades of Evil’ which contains both novels resides there allowing you to read both stories.
The aim of ‘TimeWarrior’ was to create a large graphical world where you could move around freely on your mission to obtain the ‘Dark Staff’ and rid the world of its most dangerous character. You would be writing your own adventure. There is much character interaction in the game and as the walkthrough shows little aimless wondering. You can of course forge your own path. For anyone who wants to try their hand the adventure it is still obtainable and the walkthrough ensures a happy ending, sometimes? I use walkthroughs to drop back on when I’m struggling. When the going gets tough, the tough get going, or cheat?
Starlight, the name on the books and software is basically a brand name. Most of the landscape is real. Too many places to list but the focal point, the Tavern is the ‘Marquis of Granby’ Most of the characters are also real. My daughter welcomes you to the game and despite the passing of years, she hasn’t changed.")

I played it twice. Second time with the NES music.
Controls says the green CD32 pad button is secondary weapon, but couldnt get it to work (tried both ports). Secondary method to trigger second weapon is holding fire, which works, but I stab with the knife first, which I dont like. Now after fished longplaying the game and re-reading the instructions, I see it says a THIRD way to use the second weapon is with space bar, which works and I wish I saw that before playing through the game :). Yeah, no biggie, just sayin.
As I play on a keyboard (using the arrow keys), I can sometimes break/glitch games, so its always fun to try pressing like left and right at the same time, which you cant on a gamepad or joystick (unless its one of those more advanced controllers where you can remap buttons). In the case of this game, all I could do was holding down up+down while in the air, which shows the lying down sprite while sloooowly falling back down to the ground, so kinda hovering a bit. Could also lock/freeze in different sprites depending on other presses. So, nothing special could be done this time :). My fav was in Last Ninja 3 (I think it was, got video of it) I could walk through walls and stuff.
System requirements: Minimum A500 OCS, 512KB chip + 512kb other RAM. A1200 is recommended.

A new and free Amiga game, developed in the Scorpion Engine.
Its a very short game, only 4 short levels, and the bosses die too quickly and easily. So, I really took my time on each level, didnt quite just rush through, even goofed around on some of the bosses to make them last a bit longer. Still only a 9 minute longplay, and thats including the intro/outro and waiting a bit at the main menu for the spooky tune to play a bit before I started level 1.
Also, at 04:08, I noticed I could jump up into the ceiling and while up there run to the end of the level. I dont want to use exploits and stuff in games, and was thinking of skipping it and add it in one of the typical extras videos I sometimes do for my longplays, where I show stuff in a separate video that I didnt show in the longplay, but... as the level is so short anyway and the stuff below isnt much of a challenge, I at least ran for a bit up there and jumped back down shortly after, so I didnt go all the way and didnt have to make the extras video.
And yeah, massive clicking/popping in the audio, which some games get way more than others in WinUAE (emulator). The music/sound files are fine of course if played in an external player. Another thing this game got (which is kinda rare), mainly the Intro part is a high frequency beep in several places, starting at 00:37. Again, the music module plays fine in an external player of course, and all other videos I checked of this game on YouTube have all the same beeps/clicks/pops in the same places. So kinda easy to see which recordings were from emulation :). Also, the volume of the game is pretty low (not the fault of the emulator), normally I amp the volume a bit if needed, but didnt bother this time.
