Americans in Dublin City express their thoughts on the US going to war in Iraq.
As US attacks in Iraq continue, RTÉ News asks Americans in Ireland how they feel about the invasion. The views offered are mixed but most of those interviewed express regret that the attacks have occurred.
I realise that Saddam is a terrible person but the United States is at least partly responsible for putting him in power in the eighties. I wish we could have found another way to deal with him.
I was a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War and I'm no more sanguine about American foreign policy now than I was then.
I'm a little embarrassed to be an American, a little embarrassed of my President but the troops are there so I think we should support them now. Hopefully, they'll come back home.
I'm saddened to see the lives that are destroyed and the propaganda machine running rampant.
They (The US) should have taken care of him back in '91 so they need to get the job done now and it's great that Great Britain is backing us up. We're going to take care of business this time.
