This is a twin wooden roller coaster more commonly known as a racing coaster. It was designed by Intamin and built by PTC (Philadelphia Toboggan and Coaters) and opened here on May 23, 1981 and I believe it was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world when it opened. There are two sides (red and blue) that race side by side almost the entire way on identical tracks. According to RCDB.com, the two sides are 4,650 feet long, 127 feet high with a drop of 147 feet, has a top speed of about 66 mph, and a total ride time of about two minutes and twenty-three seconds.
