America Doesn’t Rule the World Anymore

We do not rule the world.
We do not enjoy absolute military hegemony over the planet — nor do we need to.
And frankly, we can’t afford to.
The reckoning is coming.
A serious financial downturn is likely — the inevitable result of the mess we’ve created with:
a weaponized dollar,
alienating global partners, and
waging trade wars we never needed to start.
These pressures are converging.
And my hope is that they do without a new military conflict overseas — because war would only delay the lesson.
But the catharsis is necessary.
Only when the pain becomes unavoidable will the lights come on in Washington.
Only then will leaders realize they’re in danger — not just of losing power,
but of losing the country’s position entirely.
That’s when real change becomes possible.
