Enjoy the shutter roll and vibes.
It has been a *brutal* week and there has always been something deeply cathartic about drumming, especially drumming independent of any constraint of time of form, so I decided to pull out the kit and record what happened next.
For a 2 mic setup (AKG 414 in cardioid as a close overhead, Beta 52 off the reso head for kick) in an untreated room, I'm pretty happy with the little drum sound I found today, though with some diffusion and absorption I think the potential to get some killer sounds are near at hand.
Not really much of a deeper thought than setting up the camera to catch what happens, but it was kind of fun to explore and I hope you enjoy it too.
