A review, unboxing, and audio test of the Movo DoubleMic. This is a two-sided super-cardioid video shotgun mic for smartphones or DSLR cameras. The dual capsule mic makes it ideal for vlogging, interviews, and any one-person operation.

This mic is a great idea. Being incredibly lightweight, compact, and battery-free it makes one-person camera operation much simpler. If your camera operator never needs to speak then you don't really need something like this but if e.g. you're interviewing someone whilst filming or, as I test in the video, you just want to demo something like a Bluetooth speaker, it's a nice solution.
But does it deliver on the promises? Simple answer? Sometimes but it's not perfect. Check out the video for more details but this mic seems to suffer from exactly the kind of problems I would expect to encounter having two mics close to each other while merging their output into a single channel of audio.
Thank you for watching and please subscribe to the channel if you enjoy the video.
