Gravel is only for HIPSTERS...... NOT! this race was crazy. The UCI gravel series is attracting a lot of pro cyclists who go head to head with amateurs to qualify for the World Gravel Championships in October. I joined my first official Gravel race in Valkenburg. The ''gravel fondo limburg'' is officially part of the UCI Gravel Series and one of the opportunities to Qualify for the Worlds. I had a very busy week prior to this race with the Mallorca Cycling camp ending just 1 day before. I travelled to the South of the Netherlands in the morning and found out there was a lot of competition that day. The list of pro's wasn't short and the race was long and tough!! But did I Qualify?
