A two-week time-lapse video of an Amaranth (Amaranthus caudatus) seed sprouting in agar, compiled from ~2000 photos. I was lucky to capture the release of the white perisperm. I took images every 5 minutes, but the perisperm released within about a minute. Because I was standing by, I snapped three extra photos during the process.
