Amalthea is an experimental/post-metal band hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden. Their early work was more hardcore/alternative-rock oriented, but since 2011, their music evolved into a hybrid of brutal death metal vocals and post-rock sensibility. After two singles, Amalthea deliver their first full album of their second era, entitled "In the Woods" (released January 31. 2014). Full of poetic genius and raw power, the 7 new songs offer catharsis to the listener.
Here's "Vapour", the fifth track of the album, which proves to be an emotional journey through doom and melancholy.
If you are into bands like Anathema, Katatonia, I Am the Architect etc. you're gonna love Amalthea///
