Jungian Perspectives: The Significance of the Unconscious in a DID System
Session description: This presentation delves into the intricate interplay of conscious and unconscious realms, drawing from personal experiences and Jungian insights. Focused on Dissociative Identity Adaptation (DID), it explores the impact of obscured thoughts, alters’ role, and shadow works significance. The speaker shares their journey, from discovering their DID system to integrating conscious and unconscious elements for mental stability. The speaker also examines the impact of obscured thoughts and images on the conscious mind, elucidating the struggles with violent intrusive thoughts and the passive influence of alters. The integration of hypersexual child alters/parts is explored through the lens of shadow work, highlighting the importance of self-compassion in embracing and understanding these aspects. Dreams emerge as crucial restorers of psychological balance, offering unique insights into the unconscious intentions of alters/parts within the system. The presentation underscores the value of dreams as messengers between instinctive and rational parts of the mind, providing a deeper understanding of the inner world. The speaker reflects on their journey of system discovery, navigating dissociation, and regulating their nervous system to foster a healthier connection between parts, emotions, and decision-making.
TW (TRIGGER WARNINGS) for the session: Mentions of childhood sexual abuse, hyper sexual child alters, violence, dissociation
