Every fall, the University of Kentucky Robinson Center in Quicksand becomes a gathering place for farmers, families and youth during Mountain Ag Week and the Robinson Center Field Day. This year, more than 2,500 visitors joined in hands-on learning experiences — from pumpkin picking and youth science demonstrations to woodworking and farm tours — all celebrating the center’s deep roots in research, education and community engagement.

Rebuilt after the 2022 floods, the Robinson Center Pavilion now serves as a vital hub for events that connect people across Eastern Kentucky to the resources of the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. “There’s always a story to tell at the Robinson Center,” said organizer Rhonda Linkous.
