The 2024 Pirate Takeover is a definite step up for this annual event. Originally open to just hotel guest but now available to day guests as well, the event uses the Mutiny Bay area to full effect, and has also had some theming updates for this year. Towers Street has been adored with a large pirate takeover flag and enough bunting to reach the moon and back.
There are two pirate themed shows on the stage in the Mutiny Bay courtyard, both of which utilise the entertainments team to full effect.
In terms of ride availability it's still not great but we do understand that a lot of the rides are undergoing winter maintenance during this time. Some of the rides available include mauraders mayhem and most of cbeebies land.
It might be a bit 'Shiver me timbers' in february but this awesome little event is definately worth a visit during the half term holidays.
