Along Came Shifty are a live band hiphop collective injecting a fresh new sound into UK Hip-Hop.

In 2013 drummer Jake Martin joined forces with guitarist Jamie Hale and rapper ILLiterate. They then drafted in a gang of musicians and singers to form Along Came Shifty.This included young, laid back guitarist Reuben Laffan, the rap duo Awfer and ILLiterate, collectively “Concept of Thought” who impressed the UK Hip-hop scene with the graffiti inspired video “Bringing it Back” (YouTube) Funk maestro Ed Breaker on bass and Oddfry Oddsworth on trombone gives this band a whole new direction.

The cherry on this 8 piece cake is the voice of Daisy Drage, who launches Shifty into a soulful soundscape of dubbed out, hip-hop, anthems.
