I spend my time living alone on the remote island of Borneo, Sabah in Malaysia. It has been my dream to visit this isolated island since I was a child and now I managed to make my life dream come true. Traveling as a solo female in Sabah is giving me a different perspective on Malaysia, Malay people and Malaysian culture, as I tend to connect more with the locals when I am on my own. People from Sabah are very kind and friendly.
In today’s episodes, I focus on seeing the animals in the remote wilderness of the island of Borneo. I travel solo from Sandakan where I am currently staying alone, to Sepilok, to see the orangutans, macaque monkeys, proboscis monkeys and Bornean sun bears. I hope you enjoy this journey with me.
