Alola! Welcome to my first Pokémon Sun and Moon remix, and my first tune for quite a while: Routes of Akala Island, or Routes 4-9 if you prefer.
So Sun and Moon have been out for a while now, and although I haven't finished the game yet I've played it for a fair few hours. I absolutely love its music, it's just my kind of style. But one thing about the soundtrack bothers me - the music of Route 4 to Route 9!
I find this official route music way too bombastic, especially during the night (and as a Moon player, a lot of my game takes place during "night"). Don't get me wrong, I love the actual tune. But I was disappointed that there's no night time version of it. So after playing Moon for several weeks I knew that I wanted to arrange the music into something just a bit more mellow, and I ended up composing this arrangement/remix.
My remix definitely isn't as mellow as it could be, but that's because it's "route" music, and I feel it should still have some pace/swing to it. There is a short breakdown in my tune though to really emphasise that nighttime feeling on Akala Island.
