For a handful of years I ran a YouTube channel known as My Melody Clips, one that audience members of this channel may be familiar with. I began the channel on January 11, 2020, as a means to show a close friend what the show is like with the scene where Kuromi first regales the audience with stories from the Kuromi note. This video was titled "Why does Kuromi have a
grudge against My Melo?". I forgot about this for a while until I got it in my recommendations on this channel and found it had blown up.

From there I decided I would go back to the beginning of the show and share 4 clips from each, one episode a week, with the goal of getting to the end of KuruKuru Shuffle and having an avenue for new fans to find and share in my then latest obsession as well as return to memorable moments they may otherwise struggle to find.

I only kept this up for a few episodes. I had been rendering at the wrong framerate anyway, resulting in a weird output. I came back to this late into the year, re-rendered all the old stuff at the correct framerate, scheduled videos months in advance so that they would sync up with when their respective episodes aired in the year - primarily so that the Christmas and New Year themed episodes would line up nicely - and added end cards.

While they sadly only went up to episode 4 of KuruKuru Shuffle for personal reasons, and episode 24 of the first season was skipped due to appropriacy concerns, the channel was a success, and I'm thankful to have been able to share the show I love so much with so many. Unfortunately, the account met its end on November 30th, 2023, following a series of authentic takedowns. While it's not much, here's a compilation of the end cards I made for the channel, and here's to all the memories.

00:00 - Season 1 Episodes 1-22, 25-28

This is the original! I made it fairly quickly and the original intent was that it would last for the entire first season, though I got slightly more invested from here. The original plan was to have this play "Yokoku" from the first season's soundtrack, which was the music that played over next episode previews, but I did not have the first season's album at the time of rendering. I instead settled for the karaoke version of Otomelody. This would establish a soft theme in music choice and in featuring both My Melo and My Sweet Piano.

00:22 - S1E23

With "I Wish I Could Dance With Him" being such a major spotlight for Kuromi as a character and one of my favourite episodes of the show, I thought it was only fitting to indulge and create a Kuromi variant of the end card with the karaoke version of the song Kuroi Hitomi, the song which featured in the episode. This was only used for the 5 clips uploaded that week (I couldn't resist an extra on this one) though it was intended to be reused for the KuruKuru Shuffle episode "I Wish I Could Dance With Him Again!", my absolute favourite of the show.

00:43 - Season 1 Episodes 29-38, 40-52

Episode 29 saw the show's first change in ending theme, so I thought I would reflect this with a new end card, which would also create some variety for viewers. However, instead of Power to Dream I opted for Melody Ganbaru. This was because I hadn't used the original ending theme before, and I particularly liked the part of Melody Ganbaru with the KuruKuru Shuffle motif.

This is maybe the simplest aesthetically, but there was a version I scrapped with a pink polka dot pattern.

01:03 - S1E39

As a bit of indulgence, I thought it'd be nice to have a themed end card for the Christmas episodes with Onegai Christmas playing. I was worried about getting the snow to look right as I did it all manually. Years removed, I think I did okay.

01:28 - ~KuruKuru Shuffle~

Mirroring the original card, this uses the karaoke version of Koi♥︎Kuru. While @luckysbunny7141 has since graciously uploaded it, at the time it couldn't be found online, but I was able to get it from the KuruKuru Shuffle Blu-ray menu. While it's very distant, the background was inspired by the My Melody Angel Book box art. Beyond that, I don't remember why a bubble came to mind. The end card elements now had borders filled with hearts to be aesthetically pleasing on devices where YouTube's end cards didn't work.

If the channel had continued, the plan was to use kuru kuru kuru for the episodes that ended with the second end theme, and potential varaints for the episodes with the one-off end themes. Likewise, the karaoke version of Kirikirisu- for the episodes of Sukkiri that Eggplant Fansubs had covered before dropping the series. The future beyond that was up in the air.
