Similar to what the first season had, when the episode "I Wish I Could Dance With Him!" got a follow-up in Onegai My Melody's second season ("I Wish I Could Dance With Him Again!", the 31st episode of the season) it also had its own minor variation on the intro sequence.


This time a shot that normally shows My Melody and Uta watching the stars together is cut out before showing either character and is replaced by Kuromi watching the stars alone, crying on a pointed rooftop.


This possibly has thematic significance, as shooting stars had previously been used in the 20th episode of the first season, with the belief that those who watch them together will always be with one another. My Melody and Uta watch together in the normal intro, while this one sees Kuromi alone, painting a negative look at Kuromi's future and possibly indicating that her plans with Hiiragi could never come into fruition.
