I bet you didn't realize you needed a soothing six-minute video on making chicken soup, but you do! This one starts with Chicken Broth the Long Way (as seen in Something from Nothing), a thing everyone should know how to make and want to make at least once a month. Freeze some for later, use the rest to make this soup with bowties (an oft-maligned pasta shape that does not deserve all the heat-- I find them whimsical and precious), cabbage (the people's vegetable) and celery (my favorite vegetable). Finished with lemon, black pepper, and plenty of herbs-- but of course.
Thank you to MUBI for sponsoring this video and be sure to watch Max Cantor’s beautiful homage to food in film at the end. Stream 30 days free of MUBI at mubi.com/alisonroman.
