"Ultimately, they're people making choices." A line from Joanne Freeman in one of Heather Cox Richardson's videos made me sit up and take notice, as it's something I keep wanting to shout from the rooftops about Alexander. Ultimately, what intrigues me about him isn't his position as some mythological hero--a new Achilles. It's his very humanness. The "magic" resides in the fact he's just like us. A real person.
