Albany Boys and Girls Club leaders say giving teens a safe place, adult supervision and structured programs is part of the effort to reduce youth violence.
On a summer day at the Albany Boys and Girls Club, young people took part in athletics, academics, recreation and job-skill training. On this day, more than a dozen teens were learning to become lyricists, musicians or music producers in the club’s music studio.
