We recently picked up an old Akai gx-365d Reel to Reel tape deck. Found it off of Craigslist. It's in decent shape all things considered. We decided to record a synth to it, sample it with the Elektron Digitakt, and then record the beat to tape! It was a lot of fun and we learned a few things. And yes, the tape deck needs servicing pretty bad!
