This is something I’ve been working on for a long time now. As of right now, AJR has not released an official instrumental of Bang!, so I decided to take it upon myself to help out the people who want to cover this friggin' bop. (If you wanna do so, just remember to credit.)
This was made using various references, from listening to various filtered instrumentals VERY closely to watching Ryan (the R in AJR) break down its production at half speed to see if there were any tracks that he scrolled past.
For some parts, I just used the instruments and sound effects I had in GarageBand as well as recreated some of the sounds myself. Other parts were sampled from the livestream, set into their own sound file and the noise filtered out through Audacity, such as the orchestra and the metronome (I originally recorded the "here we go" and "metronome" myself, but I figured that that wasn't really something people wanted, so I scraped it and replaced it with the original). Needless to say, it was a lot of work to get this as near accurate as possible (with some stylizations).
Eventually, I will update this description with a few different alternate versions fitting for how you guys want to cover (No bang, no announcer, and without either.)
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go practice singing through my diaphragm so that I can give y'all a little surprise... ;)
