Hey Airstream fam — this is the quick follow-up you asked for to last week’s video “Airstream Upgrades We’d Do If We Weren’t Full-Timing.”
I received so many comments, emails, and messages that I realized I left out some really important things and didn’t explain a couple others clearly enough. So I jumped back on camera to give you the full story.
In this follow-up I cover:
• The real reasons we would STILL skip the rear hatch (uncomfortable frame, loose door, wobbly table, smaller window, and more)
• AirKraft (Airkrafters, Inc.) — why their erPODs, door covers, bumper covers, and generator/spare tire kit are some of the best gear out there. I accidentally left them off the last list!
• The onboard generator — I truly love it and have used it a ton, but based on how we camp now it’s not something I would install on a new rig
• My complete upgrade decision-making system from the Airstream Travel Trailer Fundamentals book I’m writing (in-person seminar launching later this year)
I also clarify that we are NOT selling or trading our current trailer — this is still our forever 13A Adventure rig. We’re just talking about what we would do differently if we bought a second trailer.
