Featuring the Graco Ultra Max Cordless Handheld, see a demonstration of using a Graco handheld sprayer with a FF LP 308 tip that’s worn and the improvement swapping to a new tip.

With a tip orifice size approximately the size of two human hairs, spraying pigmented material under high pressure is going to cause tip wear over time. Tip size (orifice) will get bigger, resulting in a larger droplet (atomisation), so there’s potential for a poorer result when fine finish spraying. Plus more paint is transferred, you could get paint runs as well as extra material costs. Depending on the material / product being sprayed,, plus the paint quality, It’s hard to predict how long before a tip needs replacing. With fine finish tips, you’re probably looking at around 120 - 180 litres sprayed.
