In this week's video we go back to the 1990s, when Airbus released their largest airliner built to that time, the Airbus A340, a four-engined workhorse designed to do battle with the Boeing 747-400 for market dominance of the long-haul segment, but was sadly based on long outdated principles that meant its very existence was difficult to justify, but nevertheless resulted in one of the most reliable and safest large passenger aircraft ever produced, and one that has been the backbone of many major airlines for nearly 30 years.
