Part 2 of "Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today," AKA Rule 4 of Jordan B. Peterson's "12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos."
Order sort of makes a reappearance in this chapter towards the end. If you squint and turn your head just so.
In this half, we focus on some science (yay!) and Peterson's interpretations of how human visual processing and cognition work. Then we take a weird turn into Bible town.
We also get torn down by big daddy P so he can built our new self-esteem and self-worth from the burned down ashes of what we had before. And may the lobsters help you if you "think" you're of the not believing persuasion.
Finally, in the change blindness section, notice the change in the background of my shots?

How to describe the progression of this first section of 12 Rules for Life, Rule 6 (Set your house in perfect order before you criticize the world) without tripping Algi...
Peterson quotes [redacted] to illustrate the nihilism [redacted] have, something he argues leads to their acts. He argues that everyone harbors these [redacted], but most dont act on them. Peterson asserts that needing to blame someone or something for bad things happening is inevitable (I counter this assertion). Tolstoy is brought up to support Petersons claim that the strong choice when faced with nihilism is to [redacted], but that Tolstoy wasnt pessimistic enough because [huge redacted] (citation needed). I recontextualize the Tolstoy thread in the [redacted].
