Professor Clare McGlynn is an expert on sexual violence and online abuse, with two decades of  experience advising governments, civil society and social media platforms regarding online and image-based sexual abuse, as well as working closely with survivors to strengthen the law. It was her research (with Ericka Rackley) which coined the term “image-based sexual abuse”.  Following the Grok scandal, she spoke to us about some of the challenges facing advocates and policy-makers when it comes to online safety and the regulation of digital platforms.
