Some pretty good updates on the AI Strafe.
First of all, I made kind of a "pseudo fix" for the bug where I was locking on to the air. What I've done is I've made a pnach script for PCSX2 (because I'm awful at writing Cheat Engine scripts for PCSX2), which basically makes my character only lock on when I'm doing the AI strafe. When I'm not strafing, I'm not locking on. This is also good because if I for whatever reason disable my AI strafe, I lose the lock-on as well, so I basically never have to look at my pnach again. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty satisfied so far.
Another thing I've shown is that I've set my target to whoever I hit last (or whoever shows up in the target display.) When I hit someone else, my target changes to whoever I attacked last. This again isn't perfect, and when nobody is shown in the target display, I won't lock on to anybody, and will just be targeting the air (you can see this in the video.)
One last thing I'd like to point out, is that this for some reason does not work in duels. I've been trying to find a fix for this, but apparently, for some reason, whenever I go into a duel, the game completely stops reading the value I'm using for the lock-on. So I'm pretty sure the only way I'm going to be able to fix this is to find out what value causes the character to be able to perform the lock-on in the first place, which is not at all easy. These kind of values are constant, and are extremely hard to find as there is no indication of what other values lead to them. The only way to find them is to search through many different possible places where the value could be stored, and because there are literal millions of them... it looks like I'm gonna have some work to do.
(Please do not ask for the mods.)

![[Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme Legends] - Custom Item Mythical Hoof (Liu Yong Gameplay)
I was a bit disappointed to find out that the Unicorn Hoof from DW5 Empires wasnt in Xtreme Legends, so I ported it over while keeping the same effect of the Kirin Hoof. Thus, the Mythical Hoof was born. As the description of the item states, it increases the speed of any mount the player rides. It works exactly the same as in DW5 Empires where any horse you mount gets the speed boost.
Obviously this is a mod, and no, the mod is not public. [Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme Legends] - Custom Item Mythical Hoof (Liu Yong Gameplay)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/rN9-m_pdr8k/mqdefault.jpg)
![[DW4 MOD SHOWCASE] Some New AI Stuff
Ive made a good bit of progress in discovering how to use more of the AIs features. Here are some new mod updates:
Lock-On
- Added a new Lock-On Button that when pressed automatically turns the player towards their target.
Auto-Target
- Added a new Lua script that enables the use of Auto-Target.
- Utilizes pnach scripts as well.
- Players target (the enemy that troops will attack/lock onto) is chosen when the player walks up to an enemy or group of enemies.
Code Troops Follow
- I FINALLY figured out how to get the troops to ACTUALLY work like they should with the player. It turns out that you need Auto-Target for them to work. I havent made a Lua script for it yet, but I will eventually.
- Its way too much fun to play around with. [DW4 MOD SHOWCASE] Some New AI Stuff](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/rvrntZeR42g/mqdefault.jpg)
