Artificial Intelligence (AI) is moving from experimentation to real-world use in healthcare. New tools are beginning to support diagnostics, care delivery, and health system operations. As these technologies mature, the next challenge is scaling them across settings with different capacities and needs. This requires practical strategies that support adoption, strengthen workflows, and build trust among health workers, patients, and communities.
This session examines how AI can be integrated into care pathways in ways that improve outcomes and advance universal health coverage. Speakers present examples of AI solutions already in use and discuss what enables them to work in everyday practice. The discussion addresses barriers such as workflow disruption, training requirements, and limited operational experience. It also explores how collaboration across sectors can ensure that AI contributes to health equity and benefits all populations.
