A quick explainer about why AI can never produce video games no matter how "good" AI gets. It's just fundamentally not capable of that. Google Genie 3 is no different.

My point toward the end about not letting AI people control the conversation got a bit off the rails. What I probably should have made more clear is that AI people tend to steamroll the conversation and say their way is inevitable, it is absolutely not. You can use evidence against them and it doesn't make you a luddite or anti technology. AI in the way they are using it is a grift. It has many useful applications in specialized fields like medicine and science, but this is not that.
