A federal judge won't order Texas to extradite an ICE officer to Minnesota.
Christian Castro is charged with killing a 24 year-old man in Minneapolis on January 14th. He is also alleged to have falsely reported a crime. Castro is being held right now in Brownsville, Texas By state law, Castro has to be released tomorrow after spending 90 days in detention.
Minnesota's attorney General Keith Ellison wanted Castro to stay in jail.
In a new court filing, Trump administration lawyers told a federal judge that without planned renovations, the Kennedy Center will become an unsafe structure. They warned it would have to be taken down and could possibly be replaced with an outdoor amphitheater.
President Trump has been pushing for years for the overhaul. The Kennedy Center's board recently voted once again to close the venue for renovations. On Thursday, a judge will once again hear arguments on another bid to stop the center from adding Trump's name to the building.
And at least 160 people are dead amid devastating flooding in Nepal and China.
More than 400 people are also still missing, many of them tourists. The U.S. State Department says there are 47 Americans who are also among the missing.
Rescue efforts are especially difficult because many roads have been destroyed by the floodwaters. The force of that water destroyed homes, bridges and power plants in a matter of minutes.
