Ukrainian prosecutors have formally named four Russian occupation officials as suspects in a major war crime investigation: the forced deportation of 53 Ukrainian orphans—none of them older than five. The entire operation, first reported by Scripps News, was captured on camera by Russian state television, creating an undeniable paper and video trail that investigators are now using to pursue international warrants and sanctions.
While Lindsay Clancy is fighting murder charges in a Massachusetts courtroom, social media is exploding.
Armchair lawyers at home, forensic analysts, psychiatrists, and medical professionals have taken over, throwing in their two cents about the case. Not all of it is factual.
"I can't believe what I'm seeing on some of these TikToks that are out there and some of the dangerous and reckless theories that I'm seeing," said crime podcast host Annie Elise.
But those videos are the ones getting noticed. The likes and comments are all racking up.
And the Freedom 250 Grand Prix is set to take place this Sunday, August 23, in Washington, D.C., with 250 miles and 147 laps of IndyCar racing near the US Capitol.
The race was authorized by executive order by President Donald Trump. Congress did not vote to authorize the race. The head of IndyCar has said there were concerns about getting the support needed on Capitol Hill, and the race is taking place near the National Mall — on Pennsylvania Avenue, Independence Avenue, and Constitution Avenue — a couple blocks away from the U.S. Capitol because congressional sign-off was not obtained.
